You are supposed to combine two images. Both are from the Reno Air Races 2010. The planes on top are the same ones on the ground in the bottom. I flipped them upside down because it I though looks more dramatic.
Another popular request was to pinpoint the location of the waterfall. Well it’s on the Kenebec Creek creek which flows from the west side of the northeast section of the south fork of the Yuba River. The location is pretty close to here. Zoom out to get some context. It’s near the end of a popular mountain biking loop that follows along the river. One morning I hiked in with the camera and tripod and took a million pictures.
This class is really a Photoshop class, called something like “Introduction to Digital Imaging”. It’s all online and made up of Tutorials and Design Projects, where you are supposed to use the skills you’ve learned. This time we were supposed to use one image, duplicate it and combine it into one image.
Now that I see it online, I see it’s very long and thin which isn’t all that pleasing. I hope I don’t get points off for it. Maybe I will try to use the same image 4 times to see what happens.
I needed to check something from my history this morning so I googled my name and this popped up instead of me:
Here is the link to the book on Amazon.
I finished the top to my first patchwork quilt. It was one of my projects for the Thanksgiving Staycation week. I tried to use fabrics that were not normally seen in quilts. Originally I was going to go all camo (different kinds), but I only found the classic, what I call “Jungle Camo” and the “Desert Camo” ( I’m not really sure what the real names are), but I filled in with some cowboy, patriotic stars, animal paw prints and a bit of paisley. Here’s a picture of the top hanging from my bookshelf
Overall size so far is 54″ by 81″. It may get bigger if I add a border. Finished size of each square is 3″. Here’s a close up of a few squares:
Next steps are to make the back and wait for the wool batting to arrive.
He snapped this picture:
and tweeted about it. I’m not sure if he qualifies for the “Jet Pool” lane or not.
IMINUSD, the fixed-gear bicycle shop around the corner posted this video. I didn’t pay very close attention to the tricks themselves but most of the shots are either right outside our house, or on my commute to work or on my burrito-run route.
It’s overflowing like mad. My neighbor’s pond was 4′ down at the beginning of the storm, now it’s only 1′ away from spilling over. I expect it will fill up before the rain quits tonight.
