Model Based Testing Sample

Installation instructions

1. Download and install the Trial for IBM Rational Functional Tester for Java and Web.

2. Download the Sherpas Model Test Demo source code.

3. Create a new project in Functional Tester called SherpasModelTest:

4. Import the .zip file down downloaded in step 2.

Select File->Import from the menu and see this dialog box:

IMPORTANT: Be sure replace the contents of "Into folder:" to a backslash "\".

Note: DO NOT overwrite any files. When the program asks you to overwrite files select "None".

Your Main screen should look like this after expanding the trees:

NOTE: If your project tree looks different from above it won't work.

5. Configure the application "http://www.sherpas.com/mbt/index.html" for testing.

This is the initial dialog box, select "Add"

Select "URL", type the URL in the window, and select "Finish"

Your dialog box should look like this:

Select "finish ".

To run the software, be sure you are connected to the internet and follow these steps:

Select "ModelTest.java" so it is the current file in the editor window, like this:

Select "run" from the toolbar, it's the green right-facing arrow.
